Safety & Privacy
What you may share, why it may be used, and the boundaries you should know before using Mente Mirror.
The essentials in plain language.
You should not have to read a legal document to understand the basics.
If you choose supported app or wearable features, the experience may use check-ins, conversations or connected sensor signals relevant to that feature.
To provide the service you request, manage communication and bookings, personalise supported wellness features, and operate the service safely.
Mente Mirror aims to limit access to people and systems needed to deliver or support the service, subject to consent, care needs and applicable law.
Optional digital or wearable features should be used only when you choose to use or connect them. A booked professional service may require information needed to deliver that care.
Contact Mente Mirror if you want to understand how information is handled or ask about correction or deletion; some care or legal records may need to be retained.
No internet-based service can promise absolute security or confidentiality. Mente Mirror uses reasonable safeguards and aims to handle personal information and counselling records responsibly. Clinical, legal or safety circumstances can also create limited exceptions to confidentiality.
Read the sections that matter to you.
Counselling confidentialityHow professional sessions are treated and when exceptions may apply
Counselling is intended to take place in a private and professional setting. Information shared during counselling and records related to care are treated as confidential, subject to applicable law, professional obligations and situations in which safety may require action.
Where another Mente Mirror professional—such as a psychiatrist—needs to be involved in the care pathway, relevant information may be shared with appropriate consent and only to the extent needed for that care. Information may also need to be disclosed where required by law or where there is a serious safety concern.

Online counselling, devices and securityPractical steps for a more private online session
Use a private, quiet space, minimise interruptions and use a suitable device and reliable internet connection. The website does not provide appointment booking. Booking is handled in the Mente Mirror mobile app when available; the communication platform for an online professional session should be confirmed for the scheduled appointment.
Digital platforms carry inherent privacy and security risks. Mente Mirror aims to use reasonable safeguards, but cannot guarantee that any internet connection, device or third-party communication service is completely secure. Do not record or allow another person to join a counselling session without the knowledge and agreement of the counsellor and other participants.
Payments, updates and contactPayment handling and how to ask a privacy question
Payment-related information is used to process the requested transaction and to resolve payment issues where necessary. Website connections and payment flows should use appropriate technical safeguards, but users should also protect their own devices, passwords and payment credentials.
Mente Mirror may update this page as its services, technology or privacy practices change.
